I Know About Eloise

Lost Notes

The fastest and easiest way to confuse the bloody hell out of someone is to start talking about time travel. And that's exactly what the writers did tonight. And not only did they start talking about time travel, they started talking about BRAIN time travel.

So, I guess they've been on the island for three months? And, I guess time happens at a different speed there, which is why no one wants to leave? And if they've left, they want to go back? AHHGGGGG!

And not only that, but last week's episode ended with Kate having CLAIRE's baby? But if it was merely Claire's baby, Aaron, then why would Jack be so opposed to seeing Kate?

As if MY life isn't crazy enough. I'm so confused. I'm so confused.

I guess if my nose starts to bleed, I should consider myself in trouble.

And Sayid for President. That guy can do anything.

it all makes perfect sense.

no one knows how to write.

^ What? I don't know browser. That was one of the best episodes on TV by far. That could stand on it's own... almost. The phone call, a "constant" and having to meet Daniel was a fascinating tale. I really dug it.

So is the island the center of the universe or an experiment gone wrong. Faith or science is at the center of the story. It's getting a whole lot better now.

I found it to be not bad. If they had killed Desmond now, then that would've sucked.

As far as the crack about the writing, I'm just noting that, so far, the plot and arc of the show has been haphazard. Must be a product of writing a television series. Consider this: we're in the fourth season, but the story's realtime time line is several months after the crash i think. And yet, everyone acts completely differently from one day to the next. What happened to the hatch? Shannon and Boone? The smoke monster? The others? And the rear passengers? All seem to have been lost.

It's like comic books. They keep reinventing themselves forgetting much of their past or even retroactively reconstructing their story.

It seems to be the way it is with TV series. They live week to week. Season to season. Hoping to keep up. That's why I am glad that they set an end date. The story will end. Can they make it?

I don't think all is lost. But the rear section save for Bernard and Eko were the only things cool about that. Hurley's love interest was simply just that and to make people scratch their heads. The episode with Libby, that made it seem it was all in their heads, was filler. But it'sd a TV show and that's how it works.

Personally I think it will tie up nicely. There's no way they could spin a yarn this BIG without a plan. No way. Especially with the designs and arcs of characters. To convince Disney to make this series they had to have a foundation of some sort.

I don't think it's like a comic book because they originally planned to have it only play for so long.

Also each ending of each season plays a big part in the next. The hatch is what brought Dez to this juncture.

Then there's how each character is dealing with faith and reality. It's pretty well told yarn. But I agree a lot of season 2 was unfocused and more "show of the week" stuff. Since Season 3 they seemed to tighten down on the stories.

An interesting episode--but I don't have any problem with time travel, either.

The idea of the Constant is not a new one–it’s the way that Wally West was able to always find his way back from the past, future, alternate dimensions or The Speed Force in “The Flash”–by focusing all his thoughts on Linda Park (his wife).

"The Flash"... that's cool. Didn't know that.

I can't wait to see how everything comes together. Maybe when Walt comes back, he'll have all the answers. And I miss Shannon. Shannon and Sayid were awesome together. He was the calm in her storm.

And let's not forget about the polar bears.

And we really must consider the reason for the brain time travel, and the weird children issues on the island..

Still confused...but waiting for the flash of brilliant light..
