It's a definitely a curse to be a nurse when your child is sick. No- it doesn't help one f*cking bit. In fact, it makes you think the worst. Such as.....
Ryder is on prednisolone for his junky lungs, and his upper airway wheezing. Any normal human being would think, "wow- thank god there is medicine for it. He can stay out of the hospital, and his lungs will clear up. Oh look, he's acting normal again! He's running in circles! Oh thank goodness- he's much better already!"
This is me: "What are the side effects? Irritability? Restlessness? Excitability? Ohhhh, like caffeine? Ohhhhh wait a minute here.... (as Ryder is racing around the house with his heart beating 120+ bpm) he's been slightly dehydrated for a few days. Jesus, we need to seriously calm him down, he'll give himself a stroke or a heart attack because he's dehydrated!!!!"
I never thought I'd be this way- hypersensitive and insane about Ryder's health. And the worrying continues....

Glad you picked up earlier. Otherwise, I would've freaked a little. Glad the lil stinker's eating & you're both slowly getting back to "normal". Love you guys tons.
And remember - just breathe ...

aww TL, it's perfectly normal to act all crazy when your baby's sick! Especially when it's his first real illness. But he's a super strong and healthy kid and I know he'll get better VERY soon!
All my prayers and blessings are sent to you guys!
